It's Raining, It's Pouring...and I LOVE IT! :)

There's just something about a good rainy day that I find so relaxing.  It's almost as if you're being given permission to take a few steps back and relax a bit.  In fact, sometimes I actually feel disappointed when the rain stops and I see a hint of the weather clearing up and the sun coming out.  Drats!  LOL There are just days when you're in the mood for a good, old-fashioned, rainy day.  It seems to give us permission to curl up on the couch with a nice blanket and read a good book, have some comfort food, watch a favorite tv show or even just enjoy watching the rain delicately fall to the ground forming dancing puddles.  In some ways, it gives us permission to go back to our childhoods...building blanket forts, watching cartoons. Below is a Redbook Magazine article with ideas for purees excerpted from the book "Sneaky Chef" by author  Missy Chase Lapine. From the article:   The results: "We made chocolate-chip cookies with white bean puree — and they were awesome," said one staffer (even though...
